Having practiced many different forms of dance from an early age I came across Bellydance when I was about 22yrs old and was hooked from that moment on. After taking classes and beginning to perform with my then dance partner Katie Holland, after 4 years I inherited Katie's Adult Education class in Horsham and started my 'Bellydance Teacher' career in 2003.
For many years this was my sole passion, as well as the fitness industry in general, and in 2005 I qualified as a Dance and Fitness Instructor (through a series of courses and exams) and emerged fully fledged to teach Street dance, Aerobics, Body conditioning, Fitness Yoga, and of course continuing with Egyptian/Arabic (belly) dance.
In 2005 I also first encountered Tribal Bellydance and quickly came to realise that this encompassed more of my character and belief system than traditional Bellydance ever did... I took up studies in Tribal Fusion and ATS styles and in November 2006 set up Tribal Fusion troupe 'NYOKA'.
I still continue teaching and performing traditional bellydance from time to time but in 2008 decided to steer a more definate path in my personal pursuits in Tribal Fusion, incorporating elements of my fitness industry training in my own practice and teachings to students.
